EMERALD CAPITAL GROUP INVITATIONAL TABLE TENNIS SINGLE HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP 2017

Tournament Prospectus

1.         Date of Competition:  FEBRUARY – APRIL 2017

2.         Time of Competition: Monday and/or Friday (8pm – 10pm)

3.         Closing Date: 15th January 2017

4.         Venue of Competition:  Red Swastika Penang, 413, Jalan Masjid Negeri (Greenlane)

5.         Objective: To foster friendship and to hope players to achieve their maximum potential.

6.         Registration:

6.1       The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reject players from participating.

6.2       Entries are invited for the single handicap event.

6.3       The Tournament Committee will decide the handicap for all players with advice from participating team mangers.

7.         Rules:  The Tournament shall be conducted according to the Rules of The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and Penang Table Tennis Association (PTTA).

8.         Events:

8.1       First Round:

Players will be divided into groups depending on the number of participating players to play in a round robin league to determine player’s entry to Diamond League or Golden League. (Top 2 or 3 players from group will play on Diamond League others will play in Golden League)

8.2       Second Round:

            Players will be divided into groups depending on the number of participating players to play in a round robin league to determine player’s entry to Last 16 or 32.

           

8.3       Final Round:

            Diamond League – Top 2 players from group will play for elimination round of Last 16 or 32.

            Golden League – Top 2 players from group will play for elimination round of Last 16 or 32.

8.4       Numbers of grouping, number players in a group and matches for elimination round might change depends on numbers of registration players.

9.         Mode of Competition:

-7 Points : Loke Boon Leong, Loh Boon Ping, Aidill Ismail, Choo Yit Cheang, Lim Chee Tat

-6 Points : Tan Kean Aik

-5 Points : Ho Chih Wei, Tan Soo Seong, Angel Ooi

-4 Points : Nasril Anas, Yong Li Tzer, Lee Eng Kar, Soo Yong Yi, Teh Keat Seong, Loo Howe Chuan,   

                 Wong Lip Sun

-3 Points : Mohd Zaini, Shahrul Ikwan, Soo Boon Kong, Woo Weng Chin, Tan Lai Lai

-2 Points : Khoo Chooi Keat,

-1 Points : Ang Kok Chun, Eric Yeoh, Koay Ean Ping, Ong Ewe Aik, Ng Meng Chye

           

9.2       Loke Boon Leong vs Loh Boon Pin, game start from ( Loke Boon Leong 0 : 0 Loh Boon Pin )

            Aidil Ismail vs Soo Boon Kong, game start from (Aidil -4 : 0 Soo Boon Kong )

            Loke Boon Leong vs Mohd Zaini, game start from (Loke Boon Leong -4 : 0 Mohd Zaini)

9.3       During first & second round, Winner will award for 3 points with winning 3-0 or 3-1, Draw 1 point for 2-2 and 0 point for those lose 0-3 or 1-3.

9.4       Maximum 4 matches only for a match, game will end once 2-2 and both player award with 1 point for draw result.

9.3       Those ABSENT from the day of event, automatically consider their opponent win by 3-0

10.       Entry fee:  RM 50.00 per Person. (With Complimentary ETTA RM20 Cash Voucher)

Champion        :   RM 300 + RM80 Cash Voucher + Trophy

            Runner-Up      :   RM 200 + RM50 Cash Voucher + Trophy

            Third               :   RM 100 + RM30 Cash Voucher + Trophy

            Forth               :   RM 50 + Trophy

            5^th – 8^th            :   RM 30 + Souvenir

Awards (Golden League):

Champion        :   RM 80 + Trophy

            Runner-Up      :   RM 50 + Trophy

            Third               :   RM 30 + Trophy

            Forth               :   RM 20 + Trophy

           

14.       Disputes:  All matters of dispute shall be referred to the jury and the jury’s decision shall be final and binding.

15.       Protest:

15.1     All protest must be in writing, accompanied by a deposit of RM 100.00 and forwarded to the jury within 30 minutes from the occurrence of the incident. The match shall hence be played under protest.

15.2     If it is resolved that such appeal / protest is unfounded the deposit shall be forfeited.

16.       Other Matters: The Organizer whose decision shall be final shall decide any matter not provided for in the foregoing regulation.
